Missing vulnerable person in Otsego County located by State Police

An 89-year old woman who was reported missing from the town of Otsego has been located and is in good condition.

UPDATE: An 89-year old woman who was reported missing from the town of Otsego has been located and is in good condition.

New York State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing elderly woman who has dementia.

Belle L. Lord, 89, left a home on Sunset Ridge Road in the town of Otsego around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. State Police said she left with her dog in her silver 2008 Toyota Solara convertible with a black top. The vehicle has North Carolina plates with the registration BHL 7498.

Troopers believe she could be heading to her home in Wilmington, North Carolina, or to the home she grew up in in Queens, New York.

Lord is described as having red hair, green eyes, she is approximately 5’3” and 70 pounds. Police said she could be wearing a black, double-breasted long wool coat, and she may have a turquoise and black Vera Bradley purse. She also has a white terrier mix dog with her that has a pink collar and pink leash.
