UTICA, N.Y. –The Frankfort United N-Trak (FUNTRAK) Model Railroad Club is holding its annual model train exhibit at the Oneida County History Center, 1608 Genesee St. in Utica.
Each year, members of the group display train models between Christmas and New Year’s for community members to come out and see.
“It promotes our hobby, you know, like model trains, and we need that. We help the people out, brings families out and you know with either grandparents or parents. And it comes from all over. Like I was just talking to people, they're from Connecticut, they came. They’re originally from, the wife's from Rome -- they came up, you know, and it just, it helps out the historical society,” said Lorenzo Franchi, president of FUNTRAK.
The trains will be on display at the center Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
