UTICA, N.Y. - Moe. is performing a two night show at the Stanley Theater in Utica for a New Years Celebration.
This is the first time moe. has performed at the Stanley in 21 years.
About 1,300 fans were at Monday nights show.
Utica Mayor Rob Palmieri opened the show, announcing that Dec. 30, 2019 will be proclaimed as Moe. Day.
Fans were excited about the show.
"With a local show like this, we wouldn't want to miss such a great opportunity," David Morehouse from New Hartford said. "Tonight , tomorrow night, they're going to be playing two long shows and we're super excited to see them."
Some fans bought tickets for both nights.
"Tonight I'm on Chucks side, I'm hoping to go Al's side tomorrow night because it's great to get a view on both sides but the guys just do such a great job so we're really looking forward to all that musical talent," Tamara Cantarano from Rome said.
Some fans travel around to see the band perform.
"They are the greatest band on Earth to date and I came from California to Utica, not for my first time, because they are the best," Steve Brostro from California said.
