NEW HARTFORD, NY – “One Endless Voice to Enhance our Traditions”.

That was the theme Saturday of the 15th Annual Mohawk Valley Latino Association Gala.

The event was held at the Yahnundasis in New Hartford.

The gala is held to honor local Latino community members and celebrate the Mohawk Valley’s Hispanic heritage.

A heritage that, according to Mohawk Valley Latino Association co-founder Tony Colon, has been around for over 200 years.

“The community has had members of the Latino community and the Hispanic community for centuries. It’s not well known that Hispanics and Latinos were in this community during the Revolutionary War.”

The gala featured plenty of traditional foods and desserts.

Alex Torres & His Latin Orchestra provided the main entertainment for the evening.
