After several weeks with the highest coronavirus positivity rate in the state, the Mohawk Valley has seen a roughly 5% decrease in positivity since mid-January.
The overall positivity rate in the region was 3.7% on Thursday, down from 9.24% on Jan. 13.
Oneida County had the lowest rate in the region Thursday at 2.5%, and Fulton County had the highest at 7.8%.
Below is the breakdown of each county’s positivity rate on a seven-day average:
- Fulton County: 7.8%
- Herkimer County: 5.2%
- Montgomery County: 7%
- Oneida County: 2.5%
- Otsego County: 3.3%
- Schoharie County: 3.7%
Both Long Island and the Mid-Hudson region had the highest positivity rate in the state at 5.65%, according to Thursday’s data.
