UTICA, N.Y. -- Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon has announced the addition of $50,000 in funding for the Rescue Mission of Utica’s Addiction Stabilization Center!
The center provides a safe space and services for individuals who are recovering from various addictions.
Officials say this is an important step for the center as it will help those who need it in the long run.
"There's a lot of programs that assist with individuals within the community, but I can say that this is a program that looks at sustainability to ensure that an individual becomes stable before they move on with their treatment program. So we find this unique as well as a very supportive group for those that are in need,” she said.
the funding was secured at the end of this year's legislative session.
