UPDATE (2 p.m.): Power has been restored in New Hartford and Utica following wires down on Oneida Street, according to the National Grid Power Outage Map.

More than 1,500 customers are without power in New Hartford and Utica due to wires down, according to National Grid.
The Willowvale Fire Department was dispatched to Oneida Street in New Hartford for a report of wires down at 12:27 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Oneida County 911 Center. National Grid officials say the wires are down on Oneida Street near Higby Road, and they do not know the cause.
As of 1 p.m., there are 409 National Grid customers without power in the town of New Hartford, fewer than five without power in the village of New Hartford, and 1,105 without power in the city of Utica, according to the National Grid Power Outage Map.
National Grid officials say the estimated restoration time is 3 p.m.
