WEST WINFIELD, N.Y. - Mt. Markham senior runner Hayden Lohmann will remain in the area to compete for Utica College at the NCAA Division III level in both cross country and track.
Lohmann played varsity basketball and baseball for the Mustangs before committing full-time to running.
Once focused on running, he saw a lot of success, qualifying for sectionals in cross country. He also qualified for multiple events in track including the 3200m, 1600m, 1000m, and 600m races in indoor track and the 2 mile, 1 mile, 800m and high jump in outdoor track.
Lohmann was named an All-League and Academic All-League selection for all three sports. He's ranked eighth academically in his senior class at Mt. Markham.
Lohmann will be majoring in Cybersecurity and Computer Science at Utica College.
