It's time now to meet the newest members of our Morning Mug Club -- brought to you by Holland Farms Bakery & Deli.
The fourth annual Tom Bergen Memorial--Autism Awareness Bowling Tournament will take place this Saturday and Sunday -- February 22nd & 23rd -- at RD's Gorge View Lanes in Little Falls.
All proceeds from the event benefit Arc Herkimer's Autism Program, which provides several workshops, opportunities, and resources each year for people with Autism and their families.
This tournament was created by Tammy Helmer-Bergen, Guardianship and Spirituality Coordinator at Arc Herkimer, to honor her son Tom, who had Autism and passed away suddenly in 2016.
Tom loved bowling, was an advocate for Autism awareness, and was a dedicated volunteer at Arc Herkimer for over 16 years.
This year's event features five different bowling squads--at Noon and 2pm on Saturday--and at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm on Sunday.
But there are plenty of other things to do if you won't want to bowl—there will be a Chinese auction, bake sale, raffles, t-shirts for sale, and prizes.
There will also be a paint party for all ages on Sunday from Noon to 4pm with Easels on the Gogh for $10 per person.
Registration for bowling is $15 per person (no door charge) and you can pre-register by calling 315-823-3630 or by stopping in to the bowling alley.
