May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
Despite the stigma surrounding mental illness, those with the Center for Family Life and Recovery say people struggling with it should seek treatment as soon as possible for them and their family.
Mental health conditions do not improve on their own and can be linked to health issues if left untreated.
According to CFLR:
1 in 5: Adults experience mental health issues.
1 in 6: 6-17 year olds experience mental health issues.
1 in 20: Adults experience *severe* mental health issues.
The Center for Family Life and Recovery has programs for the entire family, everything from positive parenting, to peer mentoring, even behavioral health and counseling services.
