UPDATE: Fire crews say everyone who lived in the home got out safe but the family's cat is still unaccounted for.

"When we got here there was a fire on the left side of structure, the team was able to make an aggressive attack," Chief Peter Sobel, Whitesboro Fire Department said. "Unfortunately the fire had a head start on us, it had already spread up into the first floor and then up into the second floor and across into the attic. Not sure if the cat was able to get out but we have not located the cat inside."

The fire is still under investigation.
