NEW HARTFORD- Members of the New Hartford Democratic Committee helped residents register to vote on Saturday.
Volunteers set up a booth outside of the New Hartford Public Library on Library Lane in New Hartford.
The booth had information on how residents can get an absentee ballot and where voters can go to vote early.
Volunteers say COVID has brought many changes when it comes to voting, and they want to make sure people are aware.
"It's very important because the circumstances have been changing particularly with the absentee ballot," said Denise Timpano, volunteer with the New Hartford Democratic Committee. "The early voting is also different. It's only the second year that its been allowed. Many people are unaware that no matter where you live in Oneida County, you can vote at any of the early voting locations," Timpano added.
Election day is November 3.
