NY MILLS, NY – The New York Mills Fire Department received some very special lifesaving equipment Monday.
And the lives they’ll be saving are those of your four-legged family members.

Invisible Fence out of Syracuse donated a pet oxygen mask set to the department.
“That animal may be just like a child to them,” said NY Mills Fire Chief Richard Ulinski.
“They might not have a child, and they consider that animal to be their child. If we can go in there and rescue the animal and bring him outside and give them oxygen to revive them, that’s a very satisfying part of our job.”
The masks are reusable and come in small, medium and large sizes.
