A Fatal Fire claims the life of 69-year-old Mary Lou Bouchor. Multiple crews were called to a home on Brothertown Road in the Town of Marshall.
The Fire Chief says both Bouchor's son and husband were trying to get her out of the house with the first story fully involved at that time.
Currently, fire officials believe the fire began somewhere on the first floor of the home. The Cause is under investigation.
A Canastota Man has died after colliding with a tractor-trailer on Route 49.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 34-year-old Jerry Holmes of Canastota was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Route 49 near the Oriskany exit at around 1:00 this morning.
Holmes' vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer.
Upon arrival, first responders declared holmes dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer and the passenger riding with him were uninjured.
The accident was reconstructed and remains under investigation.
That portion of Route 49 was finally reopened at 7:00 this morning.
