UTICA – The New York State Department of Transportation is looking for 500 workers this winter, including temporary and permanent employees. Those hired will be trained and evaluated on several pieces of equipment and expected to work while gaining experience.
The job duties require physical labor and will include snow and ice removal as well as general highway repairs.
