ONEIDA CASTLE, N.Y. (UPDATED) – New York State Police have identified the 22-year-old man that was killed in Oneida Castle Tuesday afternoon, at a home on Seneca Avenue and a manhunt is underway for a suspect.
Tyler A. McBain, who lives at the home, was found deceased when State Troopers arrived. A cause of death has not been determined.

WHEC in Rochester is reporting that a manhunt is underway for a suspect and another is in custody in Seneca County.
State Police near Rochester told WHEC that a trooper attempted to pull over a vehicle that matched the description of one allegedly involved in McBain's homicide and after the driver didn't pull over, a pursuit began.
The vehicle then crashed in the ditch near Waterloo.
Authorities were called to 91 Seneca Ave. in Oneida Castle around 1:40 p.m. for a reported assault.
The suspects fled the scene before troopers arrived, according to Trooper Jack Keller. He says it is not clear if the victim knew the suspects.
Police interviewed others who were at the home during the incident, including the victim’s downstairs neighbor.
“The person who lives downstairs, was at home, and heard a scuffle…a ruckus going on upstairs. At this point in time he goes to the front door, and sees a person run out from the house, getting into a waiting vehicle, which was in the driveway. And then is able to get a description,” said Keller.
The neighbor says the vehicle was a black Ford Explorer, and told police there was someone in the driver’s seat waiting at the time of the incident.
