UTICA, N.Y. - The Utica City School Board officially swore in their new school board members Tuesday evening and elected new board officers.
Longtime board member Lou LaPolla was elected board president. Don Dawes was elected to the vice president position.
LaPolla replaces Chris Salatino who was board president for nine years, according to LaPolla.
Also at Tuesday’s board meeting, new members took their oath of office. Anthony LaPolla, Joe Hobika Jr., and incumbent Don Dawes were sworn in as board members.
