UTICA, N.Y. -- Starting today (7/16) a travel advisory has been issued in the City of Utica. There will be a new traffic pattern for Route 5S/Oriskany Street.
Starting at 6:00a.m. this morning (7/16), a contractor will be shifting traffic into Phase 1 construction on Route 5S/Oriskany Street between Cornelia Street and Broad Street, in Utica.
New Traffic Patterns
Route 5S/Broadway: No left turns will be permitted from either east or westbound traffic at the intersection.
Route 5S/Washington Street: Lefts will be permitted from both east & westbound directions at the intersection.
Route 5S westbound/Charles, Seneca & Hotel Streets: Rights in and rights out only.
Route 5S eastbound/Charles, Seneca & Hotel Streets: No left turns will be permitted.
Route 5S/Burchard Lane: Right out only.
Route 5S/Franklin Square: Entrance to Franklin Square will be permitted from Genesee Street only. Exiting Franklin Square, motorist will exit onto 5S eastbound to Genesee Street south.
Route 5S/Genesee Street: Lefts will be permitted from both east & westbound directions at the intersection.
Route 5S/John Street: Lefts will be permitted from eastbound direction only, as it exists.
Route 5S/First Street: Right out only, as it exists.
Route 5S/Second Street: No left turns will be permitted from either east or westbound traffic at the intersection, as it exists. As signed, no right turns from the eastbound will be permitted.
Route 5S/Broad Street: Traffic operation remain the same.
