Beth Irons of the Oneida County Public Market is live in the WKTV studio this afternoon to share her recipe for Cranberry Pecan Oatmeal Cookies.

During the winter season, the market is held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every other Saturday inside Union Station in Utica. 

Cranberry Pecan Oatmeal Cookies

½ cup butter, softened
½ cup sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 ½ cups old fashioned or quick oats
1 cup dried cranberries, coarsely chopped
1 cup chopped pecans


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy
3. Beat in egg and vanilla
4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, salt, baking powder and baking soda
5. Gradually mix into creamed butter mixture
6. Stir in oats, cranberries and pecans
7. Drop by teaspoonfuls 1 inch apart onto ungreased baking sheets
8. Bake until light golden brown, 12-15 minutes
9. Cool on pans 2 minutes, remove to wire rack to cool
