UTICA – The Utica Comets are set to drop the puck on the 2018 season tonight against the Toronto Marlies, and Comets owner Rob Esche joined NewsTalk this afternoon to talk about the upcoming season.
The Comets vs. Marlies game begins at 7 p.m. at the Adirondack Bank Center, and this is the first time in the team’s history that their first game of the season is also a home opener.
“I think this is the first year heading into the season, not only are we kicking off the AHL season … from the net out, it’s just a terrific team,” Esche said.
This is the Comets’ sixth season.
