SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Tuesday’s Syracuse men’s basketball game against Notre Dame has been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns.
According to Syracuse University Athletics, members of the Buffalo team Syracuse played on Saturday have tested positive for the virus.
“We are using an abundance of caution in this situation, as we have throughout the pandemic, “said Syracuse director of athletics John Wildhack. “The health and well-being of our student-athletes and staff associated with the men’s basketball program is of the utmost importance to us.”
All basketball activities are on pause to allow for proper contact tracing.
Syracuse University is working with state and local health departments to determine next steps.
A new date for the game has not yet been scheduled.
The next scheduled game is Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Wake Forest.
