NEW HARTFORD, NY – Governor Cuomo has ordered that there should be no social gatherings of more than 50 people across the state.
That means all bars and restaurants, locally and across New York State, served customers for the last time in their establishments Monday evening.
At least for the time being.
Michael Volz, the owner of the Killabrew Saloon, and others like him, are trying to figure out what they can do to still make a profit and keep as many of their employees on the payroll as possible.
“It’s strange. I’ve been doing this business for over 25 years and we’ve never experienced anything like this. I’m going to try to keep some people on for take-out orders. Take phone orders, stuff like that. Possibly do delivery service as well.”
