UTICA, N.Y. – Notre Dame schools are closing through April 14 “due to the challenges presented by the spread of the coronavirus,” according to executive principal Roy Kane.
The board of trustees and superintendent decided to be proactive in closing the schools, although there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus on either campus.
Classes will continue as scheduled on Friday, March 13, and the closures will begin after 2:35 p.m. at both the elementary and high school.
Kane says, “The closing of Notre Dame Schools also means that all events, activities, meetings, and functions are cancelled through April 14. This includes athletic practices, musicals, games, matches, etc. We will coordinate with Section III administrative personnel regarding future scheduling and disposition.”
