UTICA, N.Y. -- Monday was the deadline to certify election results with New York state – the day Oneida County finally released final totals of absentee and affidavit ballots.
In the 22nd Congressional District race, the outcome was known based on results from the seven other counties in the district.
Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi defeated incumbent Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney.
Final numbers in Oneida County were Brindisi with 41,115 votes and Tenney with 39,192 votes.
There is also a final outcome in the race in the Oneida County clerk race.
On election night, Democratic incumbent Sandra DePerno led challenger – Republican Dave Gordon, by 1,000 votes.
With a count of absentees, DePerno keeps her seat with a lead of more than 2,100 votes.
