UTICA, N.Y. -- At least one person is reported to be injured following a shots-fired incident in the city of Utica.
The incident started around 12:10am Monday morning at 455 Elmhurst Road, in the area of Mapledale Ave. and Holly Drive. At the height of the intensity, the scene moved over to Van Rensselaer Road, where it ultimately ended.
911 dispatchers report at least one person sustained gun shot wounds. The victim is being sent to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, with unknown injuries.
Utica Police, the Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies, State Police, and SWAT members were all at the scene. They were in the area for at least 4-5 hours, since midnight.
Members with the Utica Police Department plan on having a press conference to brief the media.
