UTICA, N.Y- One person is in critical condition after being shot twice on the 900 block of Lenox Ave in Utica, police say.
Utica Police responded to a call of shots fired at around 1:30 am Friday night.
When police arrived on the scene, they found one victim with two gunshot wounds, one to the head and one to the groin.
The male victim was transported to a local hospital, but due to his injuries, was airlifted to Upstate Medical Center for further treatment.
After gathering information, police were able to take a person of interest into custody. That person was taken to police headquarters for questioning.
The victim is expected to be okay.
