Rome, N.Y. - Rome Police say a 28-year-old man was shot multiple times early Sunday morning.
Police are not releasing the victim's name.
They say officers were called to 423 West Park Street around 12:30 Sunday morning after multiple reports came in of shots fired.
Police say when officers arrived they found the male victim with wound injuries to the shoulder and head.
Police say the victim was uncooperative with the investigating officers and was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries where he is listed in stable condition. Police believe his injuries are not life-threatening.
Police say the weapon involved is a .223 semi-automatic rifle, which has not yet been recovered.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
