The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is investigating a two-car head-on collision that happened Friday night.

Deputies say the crash happened around 4:30pm on State Route 26 in the Town of Lee.

Carrie Ward of West Leyden was driving southbound, with a 14-year-old riding as a passenger in the vehicle.

Ward's car was making a left-hand turn, when she collided with a car heading northbound driven by Kristin Healt, also of West Leyden.

Healt was riding with two small children, ages 6 and 9.

All four were transported via AmCare Ambulance to Rome Memorial Hospital for evaluation, still no word on their condition.

Ward was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way. She'll appear at Ava Town Court at a later date.
