BRIDGEWATER, N.Y. - A Bridgewater man was arrested Sunday morning for what authorities are calling a very violent physical domestic dispute that lasted for more than 12 hours.
40-year-old Charles Ostrosky is charged with criminal mischief, criminal obstruction of breathing, menacing, and harassment.
Oneida County Sheriff's officials say the whole ordeal and abuse started around 8:30 Saturday night at Ostrosky's home.
They say Ostrosky took the female victim's phone, damaged it and refused to allow her to use it and call for help.
They say multiple forms of abuse continued on and off throughout the night .
Sheriff's officials say Ostrosky struck the female in the back with a piece of 2-by-4 piece of wood.
He is also is accused of pulling her hair, throwing her around the bedroom, punching her in the back of the head and choking her.
Sheriff's officials say Ostrosky finally gave the woman her phone back around 10:00 Sunday morning and shortly after she discreetly called 911.
Sheriff's officials say the woman was treated for minor injuries but refused transport to the hospital.
Ostrosky was taken to the Oneida County Jail for arraignment.
