UTICA, N.Y. -- With coronavirus cases on the rise across the region, Oneida County is offering targeted coronavirus testing to those who live in the 13501 zip code.
Testing will take place Nov. 23 – 25, by appointment only, at Union Station, 321 Main St., during the following times:
- Monday, Nov. 23, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tuesday, Nov. 24, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Wednesday, Nov. 25, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
“With positive cases in Oneida County continuing to grow, it was necessary to make this site available to increase the testing capacity of the region,” said Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente. “I strongly encourage residents of 13501 who have recently attended gatherings of any kind, and did not adhere to the proper health precautions and protocols, to make an appointment and get tested.”
Parents or guardians must accompany and sign consent forms for anyone under 18.
People who are experiencing symptoms are advised to quarantine until receiving results. The Oneida County Health Department will notify anyone who tests positive, and tell them how long to quarantine.
