UTICA, N.Y. - Of the $1 million pledged by the county $500,000 is for homes and businesses.
The Community Foundation, in Utica, is one of the locations you can visit to see if you qualify for financial help.
"Its needs based, we try to be sensitive to the need, to the extent of the damage suffered by the person making the application," John Swan, the Executive Vice President from the Community Foundation. "There are certain limits, we cannot necessarily make people whole who have suffered a great deal suffering of damage to their property but we are taking all of those factors into account as part of the application process."
Other locations include the Whitesboro Fire Department, West Canada Creek Estates, and the Willowvale Fire Department. These locations are open 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
