UTICA, NY – Oneida County says it will resume the use of Johnson & Johnson vaccines at a vaccination site later this week.
In their daily news release, county officials said “Per the recommendation of the CDC and the New York State Department of Health, Oneida County will resume administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. A county-operated POD with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is scheduled for April 30, 2021 at the Parkway Community Center in Utica.”

Last week the federal goverment lifted the pause on use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. The pause was initially recommended after reports of six cases of a rare and severe blood clot following administration of that brand’s vaccine.
