ONEIDA, N.Y. – Oneida City Police are searching for a 79-year-old woman with dementia, who was reported missing on Wednesday.

Nancy Stratton lives on Willow Tree Terrace, is considered a missing vulnerable person, and police are asking local residents to search their property and check any private video surveillance that may show her whereabouts.

Stratton is 5-feet-5-inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes. Family believes she will be wearing a long purple jacket with leather riding boots.

Police suspect Nancy may have sought shelter due to the cold weather, and advise people to check garages and sheds, or any other places a person may have hidden from the elements.

Stratton’s family last heard from her on Tuesday night, and reported her missing when she was not found in her home on Wednesday.

Anyone with information should contact the police at 315-363-2323.
