TREADWELL, NY -- The Delaware County Sheriff's Office arrested a cab driver who was allegedly caught trying to trade a cab fare for sex.
On Thursday, Feb. 11, sheriff's deputies were called to Treadwell, a hamlet near the town of Franklin in Delaware County, to investigate reports of a person being sexually solicited by a cab driver. The driver drove the person from Oneonta to the Treadwell area that night.
Deputies later identified the cab driver as 40-year-old Jeremy Wilcox, of Oneonta.
He was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 13 and charged with patronizing a person for prostitution.
Wilcox was released and will appear in the Franklin Town Court at a later date.
