ONEONTA, N.Y. – New York State Police have arrested a juvenile for allegedly calling 911 and threatening the dispatch center and law enforcement.
According to state police, about 40 illegitimate calls were made to Otsego County 911 on Tuesday, Sept. 22, between 7 and 9 p.m., wherein the caller threatened the 911 center and members of law enforcement, without naming a specific agency.
The call was traced back to a residence in Oneonta, where troopers interviewed an adult and a juvenile.
The juvenile was ultimately arrested and charged with making a terroristic threat, a felony.
The juvenile was issued a family court appearance ticket.
Police say no other suspects are involved in this case.
