Buffalo, NY - The Buffalo Bills are currently in first place in the AFC East holding a 7-3 record on the field. But off of it, their fans can't be beat either.
Following the loss of Bill's quarterback Josh Allen’s grandmother last week, Bills fans began to send donations to Oshei Children's Hospital in her memory.
Allen is a supporter of OCH and has a partnership with them.
#BillsMafia sent in donations nearing $700,000 dollars. On Saturday, the hospital announced that it plans to recognize Patricia Allen by launching a fund in her name.
The "Patricia Allen fund" will “provide ongoing support to the pediatric critical care team.”
The west wing of the hospital's tenth floor, the sports themed floor where Allen's jersey hangs, will now be known as the Patricia Allen Pediatric Recovery Wing.
The tenth floor playroom will now be named "The Buffalo Bills Fans Fun Zone.”
Josh Allen's impact will be felt for years on the football field but this impact from the Bills’ community is even greater.
