OTEGO, N.Y. -- An Otsego County man is facing charges for allegedly driving drunk and causing four separate crashes as a result on Wednesday.
The sheriff’s office says they arrested Robert Braun, 53 of Otego, after several motor vehicle crashes that started in Oneonta, and ended in Otego.
Officials say Braun crashed into one vehicle twice and left the scene, then crashed into another vehicle and also fled, and the last incident – he crashed his own vehicle into a tree on Route 8 in Otego, and was taken into custody after his vehicle became disabled.
He is facing charges in Oneonta and Otego.
Oneonta charges include:
Passing steady red arrow
Passing in no passing zone
Two counts of leaving the scene of property damage accident
Two counts of following too closely
Failure to keep right
Fail to keep right
Refusal to take breath pre-screening test
Drinking alcohol beverage in a motor vehicle
He was arraigned in the Otego Town Court, sent to jail in lieu of cash bail or bond and is due back in court on a later date.
