A public hearing will be held Nov. 26 to discuss the $119 million proposed Otsego County budget.
The newly released 2020 budget includes a tax levy of just over $12 million, a nearly 4% increase from 2019.
The proposal also increases the County Road Fund to just over $11 million, and allocates funds for infrastructure improvements at the county jail and other buildings in the community.
The Otsego County Jail was forced to evacuate the night of the Halloween storm due to a leaky roof, which will cost nearly $230,000 to repair. The county had to relocated more than 30 inmates to other facilities due to the issue.
A public hearing on the budget will be held at the county courthouse at 6 p.m.
