UTICA – A frightening fundraiser is happening this upcoming weekend at the Rutger Park mansions in Utica.

RIP, or Rome Investigators of the Paranormal, are bringing John Zaffis to Utica for a paranormal investigation and Ouija board lecture. Zaffis is a paranormal researcher who starred in the SyFy show “Haunted Collector,” and he also runs the Paranormal and Demonology Research Society of New England.

They say there’s a big interest in the paranormal in our community, and Zaffis is essentially the pinnacle of the paranormal.

"We're bringing in John Zaffis, who is the star of the TV show ‘Haunted Collector’ on SyFy Channel,” said Rich Nikodem of RIP. “He's also the nephew of the infamous Warrens, from the Conjuring movies. He's known as the Godfather of the paranormal and he's also a demonologist.”

The event will be held at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, depending on your ticket level. Tickets are $45, or $65 for VIP tickets. Funds raised will benefit the Landmarks Society of Greater Utica.

To purchase tickets, email paranormalevents315@gmail.com, or call 315-281-9580.
