UTICA, N.Y. – Utica police arrested a parolee they say was found to be in possession of a handgun on Monday.
Patrol units stopped 30-year-old Todd Thompson while he was driving in the Oneida Square area.
Officers asked Thompson to get out of the vehicle, and then noticed a handgun wedged between the passenger seat and center console.
Thompson was arrested and charged with second- and third-criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm.
Police say additional charges are likely from other agencies for related offenses.
