CLINTON, N.Y. – The Jack Boynton Community Pool in Clinton has opened for the summer, and residents have flocked to the pool during this week’s heat wave.
The pool is only allowing those with memberships to swim there, and people must reserve a time slot ahead of time. There are two daily times available, 1 – 3:45 p.m., and 4:15 – 7 p.m.
Jeff Larson, Clinton Youth Foundation vice president, says these new rules will help them manage these new restrictions.
"Usually other years we were able to walk up and get into the pool just by paying a day pass rate of $5,” said Larson. “And this year we just added a restriction to that you have to, actually sort of, join the pool to access that day pass rate. And that gives us a better sense of how to inform people about any changes and notify people if there are any issues with the spread of COVID.”
Family memberships range from $85 to $195, and individual memberships range from $50 to $105.
