OLD FORGE,N.Y.--- The Pink Ribbon riders held their annual Snow Run at the Old Forge Recreation Center.
About 85 people registered for this year's event. The Pink Ribbon Riders is a non-for profit organization that raises money for men and women that are going through breast cancer treatments.
The organization started back in 2006 and made a goal to raise 2 million dollars for Breast Cancer Research. Organizers said that 2020 could be the year they reach that goal as their current total is around 1.9 million dollars.
"Pink ribbon riders was started back in 2006 and I never thought that in 2020 we would be close to giving 2 million dollars away. Obviously you can see that it is impactful. All these people that have come out to these events over the weekend. It's just amazing that people are helping people," said founder Jody Mckay.
Those who participated could either take part in the snowmobile trail rides or just attend the banquet.
