Beautiful weather is expected for Thursday as a high pressure system
makes its way into the region. This system will bring dry air and plenty of
sunshine. Also, we're expecting mild temperatures and light winds.
Starting Thursday morning on the cool side with temperatures in the mid 50s.
You may want a light jacket before heading out the door. Also, there could be
some patchy fog early in the morning, especially in the valley locations.
This fog lifts throughout the morning with lots of sunshine during the day.
Here's why we will see these pleasant conditions tomorrow. High pressure has
converging winds and sinking air. As the air sinks, it warms and evaporates
any moisture. This means that almost no clouds will be present on Thursday.
Also, a cool air mass will be brought down from the north. This means high
temperatures will only be in the mid to upper 70s.
A low pressure system skims the southern part of the region on Friday. This
will bring more cloud cover and the chance for rain. We are expecting partly
sunny skies with a few isolated showers in the second half of the day, mainly
in the Southern Valleys. Not everyone will get rain. Temperatures will still
be mild with highs in the upper 70s.
Saturday and Sunday look pleasant. Weak high pressure stays over the region.
Partly sunny skies both days with warmer temperatures. Highs in the lower 80s
on Saturday and in the mid 80s on Sunday.
Enjoy this nice weather before the heat, humidity, and rain return for the
start of next week.
