WEST WINFIELD- A pole barn in West Winfield is a total loss following a fire on Sunday night.
Several fire departments were called to 553 Babcock Road around 7 p.m. Sean Murphy, the First Assisstant Chief for the West Winfield Fire Department said the building was fully involved when they got there. There was heavy equipment inside.
Murphy told NEWSChannel 2 they had the fire under control at about 8:30 p.m., but said the wind made putting the fire out more difficult.
No one was inside the pole barn and there are no injuries.
West Winfield, Cedarville, Bridgewater, and Richfield Springs were among several fire departments who responded.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
