A Lowville woman was arrested this week after she allegedly faked an emergency to get an ambulance ride to go see her boyfriend, according to the Lowville Police Department.
Kayla Gifford, 24, is charged with misdemeanor third-degree falsely reporting an emergency.

Lowville police say Gifford requested an ambulance on Sunday, May 6 because she said she was having difficulty breathing, and when EMTs and police arrived, Gifford told them she had fallen and couldn’t remember anything.
Gifford was taken to a local emergency room where she then admitted to police that she made it up and there wasn’t an emergency. Police say Gifford told them she was trying to have the ambulance take her to Utica so that she could see her boyfriend.
Gifford is scheduled to appear in Lowville Village Court at a later date.
