TOWN OF WEBB- State Police, Town of Webb Police, and Town of Inlet Police tell NEWSChannel 2 a Rochester man has been charged with murder after a shooting that happened on Saturday night.
NEWSChannel 2 spoke with both State Police and Town of Webb Police on Sunday morning regarding a shooting at 168 Dan-Bar Acres Road.

Police say around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, calls came in to 911 for reports of a home invasion. When police got there, they found two people had been shot in the driveway of the home.
After further investigation, they found that earlier in the day Stephen E. Swanton, 43 from Rochester (who owned the home on Dan-Bar Acres Road), went to a party at another home, they say he wasn't invited to. While there, Swanton allegedly had a verbal altercation with the homeowner, Scott R. Krempler who is 50 years old from Patterson. According to Police, Swanton left the party.
They say another man who was at the party, William J. Robertello age 55 from Oriskany, went to Swanton's house to try and smooth things over with him. Allegedly, Swanton said he wanted to apologize to Krempler. Police say Robertello went back to where the party was, and got Krempler so Swanton could apologize. Robertello and Krempler went to Swanton's house, and that's when police say a fight ensued and Swanton shot Krempler and Robertello in his driveway.
Police say Swanton had originally called 911 and reported the incident as a home invasion. They say Robertello also called and told dispatchers he and another person were shot.
Police tell us they showed up and called Swanton out of his home and took him into custody. They also say they recovered a handgun inside Swanton's home.
Krempler died at the scene, and Robertello was transported by helicopter to SUNY Upstate University in Syracuse where he was treated and released.
Swanton is charged with Murder 2nd degree, and Attempted Murder 2nd degree, both felonies.
He was arraigned via Skype and is in Herkimer County Jail on no bail.
