UPDATE: Police clear scene on Sunlit Terrace

UTICA, N.Y. -- Utica police were on the scene of a possible mental health incident in the evening hours of Friday night.

UPDATE: Utice Police tell NewsChannel 2 that the incident on Sunlit Terrace has concluded early Saturday morning. No arrests were made at this time, and we will continue to follow this story as new information becomes available.

UTICA, N.Y. -- Utica police were on the scene of a possible mental health incident in the evening hours of Friday night.

Police responded to a home on Sunlit Terrace in North Utica. Based on the circumstances they increased the police presence and added members of the SWAT team.

Utica Police tell NEWSChannel 2 that crisis negotiators were brought in to assist in bringing the situation to a positive conclusion. It is believed that the individual in question is alone and is no danger to the public.
