North Utica Walmart reopens after power outage

UPDATE: The Walmart in North Utica was closed Tuesday morning after losing power.

UTICA, N.Y. -- The Walmart at Riverside Center in North Utica was closed after losing power Tuesday morning.

Photos provided to NEWSChannel 2 show the building was completely dark inside early in the morning.

It's a first-thing-in the morning stop for a lot of folks heading out the door to start their day.

National Grid trucks were out behind the Walmart with workers getting to the root of the problem. 

The Walmart has since reopened for business.
