UTICA, N.Y - Representatives of the LGBTQ community at MVCC held a pride festival at the campus quad today.
Organizers set up tables and activities for event goers to take part in.
According to members of the organization, putting this event together took a lot of coordination to make sure that everybody was represented properly.
Event organizer Melissa Barlett said that this is a great way to bring the community together.
"People are here with tables, people brought music, so we're just here to hang out and celebrate people being who they are," said Barlett.
The event went from 1 to 5 pm on Sunday afternoon.
