Utica, N.Y. - Proctor high school bowler, Kaitlynn Conte, signed her national letter of intent to bowl for Division I St. Francis University in Pennsylvania today.
The standout senior said that it was a sense of belonging that helped her make this decision.
"I chose Saint Francis because when I went to visit the college it kind of felt like a mini Proctor, and it felt very homey. Compared to other schools that I had visited, it just felt right for me. I've always loved bowling and it has always given me something to stand out to other people, because not many people do bowling. My parents were both bowlers, so it was kind of in my genes. They pushed me to bowl so I kind of just went with it." said Conte.
Conte stated that she plans on studying accounting while at St. Francis.
Congratulations to Kaitlynn!
